I am very sorry to announce that due to several circumstances beyond our control, there will be no Gardeners Market this year. The Advocate arms will be hosting a Food Fayre in the market square on Saturday 31st May with craft stalls in the Festival Hall. We have a craft market in the Festival Hall on Saturday 28th June and will be having some stalls at the Wildlife In Your Backyard event at Bells Park Market Rasen on Saturday 14th June. If anyone is interested in either event please let me know. On behalf of the club, I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, we have not taken this decision lightly. Please be assured that we have booked 6th June 2026 for next year’s event.
Lets hope for more fair weather this Saturday as we share out cookbooks for sale in the market square. All secondhand, good condition and fair donation prices. Or you can just come along for a chat.

At last the sun is out and we can all start to enjoy our gardens and outdoor activities. Before posting our calendar of events for March I have some sad news to share with you. Lion David, who many of you will have seen helping out at book stalls and collections over the past few year, sadly die at home last week after a short illness. He will be much missed by all those who knew him, especiaaly his fellow Lions.

Good morning all. Tonight is the last Santa sleigh run of the year and we have all enjoyed making children happy. The weather has been kind to us and although it is forcast to be windy, it should stay dry. Here is tonight's route. Please remember the route takes 2 to 2 1/2 hours so if your street at the end of the list plan accordingly. Route 4 (18 Dec) 4:00pm start at Market Rasen Library, tour Gordon Field, Whitworth Way, Mill Road, Elm Tree Close, Ash Tree Close, Holly Tree Close, Oak Tree Close, Cedar Close, Velden Way, Coronation Road, Churchill Avenue, Mill Road. Finish at Market Rasen Library.
The Market Rasen lions Club last night awarded Travis Perkins (Market Rasen) a Certificate of Appreciation for their generous support throughout the year in making it possible for the Sleigh to be built. Merry Christmas to all the staff at Travis Perkins and a Happy New Year.
Santa was out last night meeting children and parents on his rounds around Market Rasen.
Today Monday 16 December 24 Santa is excited to meet all the children around Market Rasen. Come and meet Santa on his new "Santa Express" sleigh. and check out your own seat next to Santa. Please remind Mum & Dad that Santa along with the Market Rasen Lions Club are collecting donations for charitable causes Here are the times and locations Santa will be tonight. Please remember that the route usually takes about 2 to 2 1/2 hours so when we arrive is totally dependant on where your street is on the route. We all look forward to seeing you. Route3 (16 Dec) 4:00pm start parked at the New Life Church until 4:15 or until finished. Willingham Road then tour Lime Walk, River Side, Anglian Way, Willingham Road, Kingfisher Drive, Heron Way, Mallard Way then finish back on Willingham Road.

Hi Everyone Santa has been out twice this week meeting all the children on his rounds and he has been very excited showing off his new sleigh and reindeer to everyone. Children have been using their new seat on the sleigh and having their picture taken with Santa. Check out the routes advertised and lookout for Santa you can't miss him his sleigh is all lit up. Remind mum and dad that Santa together with the Market Rasen Lions Club are raising funds for charitable causes.
Following a successful outing on Monday, Santas sleigh will be out again tonight, hoping for dry weather again. Here is where we will be. Route 2 (11 Dec) 4:00pm start parked at John Street carpark for 15 minutes, Then proceed down Union Street, Chapel St, Linwood Rd, Beechers Way, The Ridings, Haydock Way, Thirsk Close, Horseshoe Way, The Ridings, Wells Drive, The Ridings, Legsby Rd, Willingham Rd, Chapman St, Finish back at to John St carpark.
