There are hardbacks, paperbacks covering all genres, together with a children’s section for all age groups and to encourage the young to enjoy reading we will give one book free to each child. The School planters and hanging baskets which are usually displayed and judged at the gardeners market will be in Bell Park on Saturday 14th June at the WILDLIFE IN YOUR BACKYARD EVENT. We are also looking for more stall holders for our Craft Fayre being held in the Festival Hall on Saturday 28th June. All vendors must have public liability insurance and should submit their enquiries via messenger.

I am very sorry to announce that due to several circumstances beyond our control, there will be no Gardeners Market this year. The Advocate arms will be hosting a Food Fayre in the market square on Saturday 31st May with craft stalls in the Festival Hall. We have a craft market in the Festival Hall on Saturday 28th June and will be having some stalls at the Wildlife In Your Backyard event at Bells Park Market Rasen on Saturday 14th June. If anyone is interested in either event please let me know. On behalf of the club, I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, we have not taken this decision lightly. Please be assured that we have booked 6th June 2026 for next year’s event.
Lets hope for more fair weather this Saturday as we share out cookbooks for sale in the market square. All secondhand, good condition and fair donation prices. Or you can just come along for a chat.

At last the sun is out and we can all start to enjoy our gardens and outdoor activities. Before posting our calendar of events for March I have some sad news to share with you. Lion David, who many of you will have seen helping out at book stalls and collections over the past few year, sadly die at home last week after a short illness. He will be much missed by all those who knew him, especiaaly his fellow Lions.
