Every journey begins with a single step.

One act of service, one encouraging word, one gift of generosity is often all it takes to bring hope where it's needed most. We are uniting our global service around five areas of need.

Diabetes

An estimated 463 million adults across the world are living with diabetes. Lions are dedicated to empowering members to fight diabetes by serving their communities one by one.

"By 2045, the number of people living with diabetes is expected to reach 700 million."

Vision

253 million people are blind or have moderate to severe distance vision impairment. More than 75% of all blindness is avoidable.

Hunger

815 million people were affected by hunger in 2016—11% of the global population. We strive to improve food security and access to nutritious food.

1/3 of annual food production is lost or wasted throughout the supply chain. We work locally to bridge that gap.

Environment

15 billion trees are cut down every year. There has been an estimated 46% decrease in tree count since the start of human civilization.

We serve to sustainably protect and restore our environment.

Childhood Cancer

Childhood cancer is a leading cause of death for children. We serve to help those affected survive and thrive through practical support and community awareness.
