Cookie Policy

Last Updated: September 2026

This page explains the cookies used by marketrasenlionsclub.co.uk. A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device.

The short version

We use one cookie, and only when you sign in to the members panel or the admin area. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social media cookies, or third-party analytics. We do not sell or share any information about your visit.

Because the only cookie we set is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for (staying signed in), we do not need to show you a cookie consent banner — and we don't.

The cookie we set

Name Purpose Expires
MRLCSESSID Keeps you signed in as you move between pages of the members panel or admin area, and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. It holds a random identifier only — no personal details are stored in the cookie itself. When you close your browser, or when you sign out

This cookie is marked HttpOnly (scripts cannot read it), Secure (sent over HTTPS only) and SameSite=Lax (not sent from other websites).

If you only browse the public pages

No cookie is set at all. You can read about our causes, events and Santa's Sleigh, and use the contact and Ask for Help forms, without anything being stored on your device.

Content from other websites

Some pages embed videos from YouTube and maps from Google. If you play a video or interact with a map, that provider may set its own cookies, which are governed by their policies rather than ours. We embed YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode where possible. We do not use Facebook or other social media embeds on this site.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. If you block the cookie above you will still be able to use every public page, but you will not be able to sign in to the members panel.
